Project: Baby Grand
We decided against the Limited edition Grand Cherokee simply because we knew those fancy painted side-moldings would
be all scratched and scarred in no time. On the other hand, we found the V8/Quadradrive combination extremely appealing,
so we purchased a Laredo with all of the Limited options. Sound confusing? It isn't - Jeep® makes it very easy to get just
the right mix of options to make just about anyone happy.
Jeep® has also been listening to us, at least as far as the WJ is concerned. This
baby has quite a few upgrades we would expect to do ourselves, if this were any other Jeep®:
V8, front AND rear progressive limited slip, and a rear dana 44. Inside, it's hard to tell
where the pavement ends, and the trail begins - the WJ takes comfort to a whole new level.
Where do we go from here? So far, the plan is to re-install a 2" lift on top of the 4" TeraFlex suspension lift so we can fit 33's on this bad boy.
4.56 gears will also be added to better handle the 32 or 33-inch tires. Though it did great bone-stock
in Moab, we would feel more comfortable with a even more
clearance.
